Raeko looked at the small group of students infront of him, they were some of the elite in the Academy itself, promising students that had bright futures ahead of them. Raeko a few days before, had volunteered to help teach a few of the students some of the skills they would need in their future. At first this had made the instructors a bit uneasy, knowing that Raeko had left the Seiretei several years back and had slightly different opinions and beliefs than the other Captains. However after speaking with them, they relented and decided to allow him to train a few of the students if he really wished to. Raeko was very pleased with this news, knowing that when he was a student in the Soul Academy, it had been an extreme honor to even meet with a Captain, let alone take a few lessons from one.
"When trying to move with stealth, you must place more of the weight on the front of your feet, instead of simply walking flat, try and make each step as light as you possibly can.... good...." He said, his athletic arms crossed over his chest as he watched them walking across the set of training planks he'd set up, ones that would squeak loudly if the weight wasn't displaced properly. "You must maintain perfect balance as well... otherwise you'll lose your footing and give yourself away..." He said with a soft and compassionate tone, he wasn't as harsh and demanding as their instructors, but he still held a firm enough tone that the students respected him deeply.
"That's enough for today.... just continue to practice the things I've taught you today and we'll continue again tomorrow..." He said with a warm smile, bowing towards the group of students before turning and walking towards the entrance to the training room. He reached up and ran a hand through his black hair that seemed to hang around his face in all directions, walking towards the railing that overlooked the rest of the Seiretei. He was going to teach them for a few more days of what he could, and then return to the World of the Living for a few more weeks. He didn't like being in the Seiretei, he always felt uncomfortable, feeling much more at home in the World of the Living where he was actually on the front lines, doing what he could to help by destroying one Hollow at a time.

&its time for her to leave, beautiful, and sincere.. Rangiku's side was placed up against the entrance door way. As she watched Captain Ichinose teach the young students she remember her own captain - Toshiro being here only moments before in her mind. Closing her eyes for a second she felt a quick easiness run throughout her body when listening to Raeko speak commands.
these kids are our future,"
[/i] was all that ran through her mind. When connecting back to her senses, and reality finally hit her, Rangiku was wandering why exactly she was watching the group of students. Feeling a slight bit rude, like she busted in - Rangiku turned her back on the small room when hearing Reako's closing words.[/size][/font] her heart was settle as she walked slightly ahead of the 5th Division Captain. She made no effort to talk to him unless he was first willing to talk to her. A bit selfish and yet self centered - Rangiku didn't want to force herself onto anyone. ((I added little Yachiru on Kenpachi as she always is, most the time anyway, if thats a problem let me know ))
Walking in a large stride due to his rather impressive height with his arms slotted into the opposite sleeves of his shinigami robe the Captain of the 11th Division Kenpachi Zaraki strolled down the pathways near the training academy. He was unfamiliar with the building in general, in fact he had barely given the entire academy more than one visit during his time in Seireitei, never becoming a student of the academy. He never needed their training on how to fight, the majority of the shinigami in the whole damn place could not hold a flicker of a flame to his bon fire, let alone teach him anything. That was with the example of the old man who did teach him one thing, he hated it though. Kendo. Such a thing was to only be used in a crisis when losing was out of the question, luckily he had not come to that sort of situation yet where it had to be used, however he had not lost a battle either. The exception of Ichigo of course, even though the orange top protested that he, himself, had lost or Yachiru saying it was a draw. They did not understand the loss which Kenpachi had witnessed in that battle. Though of course in the rematch they would one day have, Kenpachi would see his one loss remedied.
This all led to where he was now, however. The Captain strolling idly down the gates of the academy with the pink haired wonder sitting on his shoulder as she always was, speaking about some nonsense or another that he paid little attention to. After that ‘tea party’ in any case, the constant bickering between Ikkaku and Yachiru which he never really cared for, he was feeling a little restless. Perhaps there would be place for something stronger to drink at some point, definitely would be if he popped over to the Living World, but he rarely wasted his time in a place that could not handle his power.
Suddenly he felt a small hand being pushed into the side of his face and the squeaking of his Vice Captains loud voice as she called towards the academy in the direction of Matsumoto whom had just now walked out of one of the training rooms. The word ‘Big-Boobs!’ being yelled into your ear was enough to catch any mans attention. His gaze briefly lingered over the other Captain whom had also appeared from the training room, the new 5th Division Captain if he recalled correctly, reminded him of someone. With a swift flash step, Kenpachi appeared leaning on the wall in front of the Vice Captain Matsumoto and the 5th Division Captain, his expression rather plain per usual outside battle. “Yo, Woman. Raeko, right?” He said in his deep tone as Yachiru prattled on about hundreds of things at once, being quite difficult to understand what the hell she was going on about. Eventually Kenpachi cut her off. “Rice ball in my pocket, fill your mouth with it, Yachiru.” The pinked haired girl squealed with glee, climbing down the Captain to find the rice ball. Kenpachi settled his attention back on the pair. “Oi… I skipped the last meetin’, anythin’ goin’ on? Hella borin’ waitin’ ‘bout. Guess a drink’ll have to do to pass the time”

Raeko watched as Rangiku Mastumoto walked infront of his path, moving towards the railing lining the outside of the Soul Academy's training room. His eyes softened slightly when he caught sight of her, he'd seen her around a few times, though he hadn't had a chance to speak with, he'd occasionally observed her speaking with her Captain and a few of the others, and she put off a comforting and warm vibe that he had to admit he was partial to. He had always found her to be extremely beautiful as well, knowing that it was a rare combination to find beauty along with kindness. "Good afternoon, Lieutenant Mastumoto..." He said in a warm and friendly tone, a light smile playing across his features.
It was then that the mammoth of a Captain barged into the training room, quickly flash-stepping over to their vicinity, his pint-sized Lieutenant riding on his shoulders like always. He listened to Zaraki's words, the smile fading from his lips the moment the man walked up to them. For some reason he didn't like Kenpachi, he'd never personally spoke with him before, but just the feelings Zaraki put off and the way he spoke to others, made Raeko's dislike for the man grow. "She has a name..." He said, his voice quiet but firm, obviously not caring for the way the Captain had called her 'woman'. He hated disrespect in any form, and this man seemed to reek disrespect in all forms.
"The Hollow attacks around Karakura Town are becoming more and more frequent.... as well as the arrival of more humans with Spiritual Powers...." He said in the same quiet tone, though his eyes had narrowed sharply while he spoke to Kenpachi. Truth was Raeko hadn't paid much attention during the last meeting, his mind had been preoccupied by the spirit of the young girl he'd been unable to save on his last mission. There had just been too many Hollows coming at him from every possible angle, and he hadn't been able to reach her in time and she was taken. He had been beating himself up over the incident for the last few days. He turned his eyes towards Matsumoto for a moment, his eyes reading a silent apology for Kenpachi's behavior.

&its time for her to leave, rangiku felt the new captains presence behind her as she kept walking forward. Her finger tips gently brushed down the railing smoothly and with care. Rangiku's attitude had recently differed from how she usually was, and only recently was she finally coming back to her own thoughts. When hearing Reako speak her name, she smiled and slowed her walk down soon turning around to face the fellow shinigami. As the wind blew her hair around, Rangiku lifted up a hand to hold her hair back out of her face. "Hello Captain Ichinose," her voice firm yet beautiful.
feeling another strong presence about them, Rangiku's attention turned to a much larger shinigami and his fellow teammate. Rangiku ignored, but smiled when the small pink-haired shingami called out for her a slightly humorous way. If Rangiku would have been in the mood - she would have replied with a witty comment, and sexual way. But today wasnt one of those days.
[/font] matsumoto was caught off gaurd when just being called out as woman. Yet, Rangiku didn't really care. "Hello man." She replied with a plain tone in her voice. She could tell Raeko was bothered by this, and she simply reached out, touching his sleave - the look in her eyes telling him to leave it be. With the drop of her hand from his arm, Rangiku turned back to Kenpachi with a small smile and stroke of Yachiru's cheek, her trance fell back to a much smaller phase.[/font] the conversation bewteen The fellow captains fell to hollows and meetings. Rangiku tilted her head down, then back up just to see the 5th Divison Captain apologize to her. Rangiku shook her head a bit, just to show it wasn't a big deal. When Kenpachi mentioned drinking, Rangiku didn't even turn her head. Why was this betryal such a hard thing to deal with? Gin was written all over her face as she looked out over the small bit of nothing. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/blockquote]

Kenpachi gave a light bob of his head as she replied to him as his gender, he was not as uptight as most Captains, and he was aware that Hitsguaya was one of the most upright runts in Soul Society and that Matsumoto had much time stuck with him. Yachiru smiled happily at the attention from the fellow Vice Captain, picking a piece of rice from her cheek and stuffing it into her mouth with a grin, she always did like attention – and food. As Yachiru stole Matsumotos’ attention the Captain Raeko tried to defend the golden haired womans’ honor in some way, Kenpachi could help but find some amusement in it, as if Matsumoto needed someone to defend her. Though as the fellow Captain brought up Karakura town as the increase in hollow activity, Zaraki slid one hand from his robe sleeve and caressed his own chin in thought. “Sounds dull, but since Ikkaku is sleepin’ and Yumichika is braidin’ his hair or some shit, guess I could take a look if I get some free time myself. Gotta ‘ave fun before work.” Yachiru patted her Captains cheek, pushing herself up slightly with a smile. “Will big boobies be going to~o?” She asked in her innocent manner. She always seemed rather innocent to those whom did not know her, the power within never truly shown, she was content riding Kenpachis’ back and cheering him on in battle. Yachiru loved it when Kenpachi was enjoying battle, seeing him so happy brought joy to herself as well. The 11th Division Captain let out a small grunt, giving Yachiru a shake with his shoulder and muttering. “Stop blabberin’” He said lazily before he continued to walk forwards. The tall Captain passed them both, his eye facing ahead though a quick comment lingered in Matsumotos’ direction. He was a perceptive man, one of the most perceptive there was. “Give it time.” Said rather simply though of course not intended to be some sort of mind blowing words of wisdom either. Kenpachi drifted off, a small wave flickering from Yachiru before a flash step caused him to vanish from their perception and off towards his barrack. It was time to collect his zanpakuto, there was some hacking to be done!

Raeko watched as Captain Zaraki flash-stepped away with the miniature Lieutenant riding his shoulders, his face and eyes devoid of any emotion, as the wind whipped across his messy black hair. Raeko knew that Captain Zaraki was the man who'd killed his twin brother, Maki, though he doubted that Kenpachi knew or even cared if he did know. To Zaraki, Maki was just another death on his road to becoming a Captain, to Raeko however, it was the death of the only family he'd ever known, even though they hadn't been very close at the time. There would be a day when Raeko would have his revenge, he was in no hurry to achieve it, an opportunity would present itself and he would take it. He didn't know who would come out victorious on that battle, as he and Zaraki's power was nearly on the same level, where Zaraki held the edge in strength, Raeko was a large degree faster. It would be an intense battle to say the least.
Give it time... Those words seemed to hold more than a single meaning for Raeko as he stared off into space for a moment, his mind scattering in a thousand different directions, before he finally realized Captain Matsumoto was still there and he turned his form towards her, his features softening as his dark eyes watched her. "I didn't mean to interject earlier.... I don't approve of disrespect in any form, though I know it wasn't my place to say anything..." He said with a soft tone, quiet like it was before with less edge to it now. Raeko was never a very loud and outspoken person, keeping himself to quiet tones, it was simply how he'd always been.
To some it would seem as if Raeko was also very slow, considering when he was spoken to it took him a few seconds longer than normal to reply, but it was quite the opposite, Raeko's mind was constantly moving and changing to different subjects, thinking several steps ahead farther than the average person, and when someone spoke to him he thought over the statement or question in depth, choosing his words carefully. "If you don't mind me asking, what brings you to the Shinigami Academy, Lieutenant Matsumoto?" He said, hating the formality of having to address someone by their rank, but knowing that he wasn't close enough to her to forgo protocol and simply address her by her first name.

&its time for her to leave, rangiku's eyes followed the much bigger shinigami as he let his words trail out. "Give it time.." Her mourning ceased for a moment, as she lengthened through her mind.. Rangiku's thoughts we're tangled from it may have meant. When Kenpachi and his lieutenant disappeared, her eyes met up with the sky. She wandered where he had went, and what he was planing on doing. She smiled - thinking of how Yachiru asked her captain if big boobs, was coming. Of course not. Rangiku stayed where she was, only to glance over at Reako, his stance actually making her think of her own captain. She wandered if all captain's had the stance that the few captain's she was close with.
when Reako's attention finally came to her, Rangiku's voice kinda dropped into a small tone - "No.. its fine. I'm glad you said something, It made me feel a little more respected." Rangiku's body movements were anything but knowledgeable. As she lifted up her hand to pull her hair back, the long sleeves that draped her arms we're pulled back - revealing small cuts and bruises throughout her glass figure, that we're yet to heal from a fight earlier that week. Rangiku brang little or no attention to what damage had been caused, and went a long her way. Dropping her hand, her robe was once again placed as it usually was.
[/font] the soft, and yet beautiful tone in the man's voice in front of her was comforting. Yet - it made her feel like she was unable to take harsh words from people like himself. Rangiku thought of Toshiro, yet lost hope in what was to be found comfort in him. She didn't want anyone, yet she needed someone. As she turned her body just slightly to the right, her hand laid upon the railing yet again. Rangiku's moves we're white, as her eyes gleamed a beautiful icy-blue, only to show a reflection of what was once full. When being questioned on her presence at the Academy, she shrugged a bit - hardly wanting to talk. "I'm truthfully not even sure. It was recommended that I get out, but I wasn't sure to where. Guess here was my choice, Captain." Rangiku tried to act respectful, yet kind and loving at the same time. "Also, identifying me by my rank isn't to fun. Just call me Rangiku." She finally broke out a sincere smile, just to show him that kindness came from the heart. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/blockquote]

His eyes couldn't help but catch the quick glimpse of the scars and bruises lining her arms as he shifted their position, the sleeves of her robes sliding up and down her battered limbs. He chose not to say anything, knowing that injuries were just another thing you had to deal with when being a Shinigami, Raeko had just finished recovering from a set of injuries he'd sustained only a few days before, though they hadn't been too serious. It was rare that he returned with injuries, as most of the time his movements were too quick for the Hollows to even touch him, but when they did finally connect blows, they hit Raeko hard. He didn't hold much in the areas of damage resistance, so he was forced to rely on his speed to keep him alive.
"I see..." He said softly as he turned towards the railing, crossing his arms as he leaned his elbows and upper body against its, peering out over the view of the Seiretei. "Well I'm glad you decided to come here of all places..." He said in the same soft and comforting tone, casting a look in her direction as he heard her comment about formality. "Feel free to call me Raeko as well..." He said, another small smile finding its way onto his lips. He let his eyes slip back to the view infront of him, enjoying the comfort of pleasant conversation in a place that he rarely felt anything comfortable. The Seiretei was his least favorite place to be, he much preferred staying in the World of the Living, but knew he couldn't hide there forever.
It was quiet for a long moment before Raeko turned his gaze to Rangiku once more, his eyes scanning across his face for a few long moments as the wheels turned in his mind. "You have sad eyes...." He said simply, his voice holding a compassionate tone, knowing that if she had something she wished to talk about she would, or if she didn't want to speak of it, she would simply brush off the statement. However he could tell by the look in her eyes, the way she moved, even the way she had interacted with Kenpachi, that something was wrong, something was troubling her. Even though he didn't know the woman very well, Raeko had always possessed an exceptional talent for reading people, and seemed to do it almost subconsciously.

&its time for her to leave, rangiku's eyes met Reako's, as he stared faithfully at the bruises and cuts that dressed her arms. She then travled the line back to his figure, before looking back down at the ground. She rubbed the back of her arm, struggling for the right words to say why she was as beat up as she was. Rangiku ended up not saying a word, only letting her hip become pressed up against the railing to hold her weight. The small sigh that escaped from her lips gave anyone chills that heard it. As her icy-blue eyes stared at the ground, time seemed to have stood still - the unbearable silence breaking her with everything second ticking on the clock. Finally, almost loosing her balance when lifting her head, Rangiku struggled to pull something out. "I know your a captain, and that these little accidents don't usually happen to you.."
her voice was lost as Rangiku tried to calm herself to a suitable tone. Not to loud - not to silent. "Alright Reako," The name of the captain that stood before her rolled off her tongue like it has been there forever. The way she said people names usually gave them chills. Small, and innocent - her speech was beautiful and high. Biting her bottom lip in dispair, her eyes we're down on Reako's arms studying his fine posture. Reako kindness reminded her of Gin's, and it was comforting. Rangiku's mind felt at ease.
[/font] she tried to think of something to say to Reako. "You have sad eyes.." was all that rang though her head. What was Rangiku supposed to say? The silence was broke by Rangiku's tempting, yet beautiful words - "I feel tired, maybe thats whats wrong." The normal color on Rangiku's face was blown away by the white that now covered her usually bronze body. As wind moved by, her hair was uplifting, flowing with passion in the wind before turning her head to figure out if she'd rather move, or stay where she was. Rangiku looked at Raeko, her eyes not falling off his. Her eyes we're bright, yet pale and lacking its natural gloss. Yet, she still had that seductive look that could tear any man apart. He heard her statement, mentioning that a Captain wouldn't have injuries either and a small smile came across his lips once more. "Hardly.." He said, lifting up the bottom of the top half of his robes to reveal his chiseled abdominal muscles, with a nasty scar running diagonally across his stomach, it looked as if it had just finished healing and would leave a lifetime reminder of how close he'd come to death. He then tilted his head to the right and back, bringing the forefinger of his left hand to run across a barely visible scar along the side of his neck. "Captains become injured just the same as Lieutenants..." He said in a comforting tone. He was very different from most Captains in the aspect that he never believed himself to be better than any of the other Shinigami, despite their skill level. He treated everyone with the same amount of respect.
"An injury isn't something to be ashamed of... it means you tried and put your life on the line when others wouldn't." He said, subconsciously reaching out with his right hand to rest it upon her left arm comfortingly. He then realized what he was doing and let his arm fall, blood rushing to his face for a quick second before he composed himself. He wasn't sure why, but he was beginning to feel extremely comfortable talking with Rangiku, despite the occasional embarassing moments like the one that had just happened. The way she spoke his name sent a tingle of excitement running up and down the length of his spine, though he showed no outward appearance of it.
He nodded with the answer that she posed to his statement, knowing that it was more than that, but deciding it wouldn't be best to press her anymore, considering she probably wouldn't appreciate it much. "I know this is our first actual conversation, but if you need to get something off of your mind at any time... you can confide in me..." He said simply, knowing how lonely it could become at the Seiretei when you didn't have anyone to talk with. He motioned towards the doorway leading back into the training room of the Shinigami Academy, "If you wish I could leave you so you could get some rest, I don't mean to impose. It's just rare to find friendly conversation around here..."

&its time for her to leave, as Reako lifted up his robe, Rangiku looked at the scar in curiosity and amazement. Stepping herself forward a bit, Rangiku bent down and reached out laying her cold fingers against the scar. She traced her finger further down, until the scar cut of into normal, bronze colored skin. Rangiku looked up at Reako, her pupils shifting showing the beautiful enlightenment inside her. Standing up, letting her fingers bare up on Reako's bare skin. There was not a scare, not a flaw on Rangiku's body other than small wounds caused by fighting that yet healed over a days period. She had seen many scars just as the one on Reako, but yet each had a different story. Rangiku licked her lips slowly, wanting to say something comforting but only her curiosity built up. "What happened?" Her voice was small, and caring.
not waiting for his reply, Rangiku's voice trailed on gently - "I suppose so.." Her voice was unsure, and kinda questioning but she didn't continue on. When feeling Reako's hand upon her shoulder, Rangiku felt passion and comfort. Reaching up, the strawberry blonde laid her hand over top of his wrist. She didn't make any movements before moving her hand back when Reako became embarrassed and withdrew his touch from her small, porcelain figure. The comfort and trust she found in Reako was almost amazing and unlike anything she felt before. Maybe it was all based that they met on good terms, or just the fact that they we're both in some way a like, yet some how different.
[/font] it wasnt the fact that Rangiku felt like she didn't know Reako, and even though she didn't - she felt comfortable. Moving her head back to look up, she then sighed once again. The frustration and confusion that was held up in her mind came out along with. The beauty had not talked to anyone on her feelings lately, and found it abit troublesome to do so anyway. Rangiku shook her head in denial as Reako offered her a shoulder to lean on and talk to. She was just to independent to have anyone get inside her, and try to figure out the pain in her soul right now. "There's nothing bothering me, but thank you so much." There wasn't much else Rangiku could say until Reako began talking about leaving and her resting. She sighed slightly, then smiled at him. "I would like to continue on, but I'd like you to join me." Matsumoto smiled after her words, then turned her back to him about to continue walking on hoping his company would stay along. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/blockquote]

Her cold touch on his stomach sent another set of shivers trickling up and down the length of his spine, but he didn't find it unsettling at all, if anything he found it very comforting. He couldn't help but revel in the feel of her touch on his bare stomach, her fingers gliding across the rock-hard muscles. Her following words brought him out of his pleasure, taking a few moments for him to register her question. "It happened only a few weeks ago... while I was in the World of the Living. I had come upon a spirit of a young girl in Karakura Town, couldn't have been any older than three or four years old. She was being chased by a trio of Hollows, I defeated them, but more continued to come after the girl, I lost count of how many tried to get her..." He said, his voice trailing off for a moment as he lost himself in the memory.
It had been an intense battle, that had lasted for nearly an hour straight, he'd been forced to use his Bankai and nearly every bit of energy that he'd possessed. "Anyways... just as I was sending her to the Soul Society, I was surprised by another Hollow that I'd apparently missed and he sliced me with his claw... I was too focused on saving the girl and wasn't paying attention to my surroundings." He didn't regret it, he would have given his life to save the young girl's spirit, he just kept the memory as a reminder of how one should always be aware of their surroundings, no matter what. He heard her next statement and nodded, knowing that it was very difficult to talk about your personal problems with other people, considering Raeko had the same issue as well. "Of course..." He said with a smile in response to her thanks.
He heard the first part of her next statement, nodding his head as he could feel his mood dropping slightly. He was enjoying his time with Rangiku, and didn't want it to be cut short, but then he heard the second part of her statement and a smile broke out onto his lips as he looked towards her. "I would be glad to..." He said in a gentle tone as he walked forward as well, keeping pace with her as they entered into the Soul Academy's training room, heading towards the exit of the building. A few of the students he'd been training before had hung around to practice with each other, and noticed Raeko with Lieutenant Mastumoto, watching the two of them with surprise. "I do believe this will cause many a conversation among the students..." He said with a light chuckle, not concerned with the words that would follow the two of them being seen together in such a friendly manner.

&its time for her to leave, rangiku stood and listening to Raeko's story without ever moving her stance or position. She had a blank expression on her face. Never once had she lost a soul, but then again never once did she fight many at once - and if she did Rangiku was usually there with her captain or someone to help. It did sound like Raeko had his hands full, but she wandered why he didn't ever once call for help. Yet, everyone had their own reasons, and she wasn't one who questioned them. Rangiku played with her hair the remainder of the story, she felt a sense of uselessness. Like nothing she was able to say would make it better. "I'm sorry Captain Ichinose.. I'm just glad your okay." Her tone color was bright, then settled down again. She noticed that the cut had healed over well very quickly, and to her surprise admired Reako for various reasons now.
of course.." Rangiku crossed her arms, nodding her head slightly to show it wasn't a problem. Soon, she became slightly displeased with the wind. It came by every few times, blowing her hair out of proportion and sending soft chills through her body. Even though it was warm out, Rangiku wasn't feeling well and thought maybe she was sick due to the fact she was cold. Her body heat seemed to decrease over seconds of standing still with Raeko. Soon, Rangiku looked over at him finally she walked over standing straight in front of him, only inches apart from bodies being together. With her head down, arms still crossed - Rangiku asked Captain Ichinose's opinion, "This betrayal and so on, what do you think about it?"
[/font] before continuing on, she stayed in front of him demanding an answer to ease her own mind. She bit her bottom lip, only lifting her glassy, ice blue eyes up to look at him a few times her opals shifting - the things that could send any person into a state of seduction. Her movements to keep going stopped time before, so there they stood yet again only inches from where they been the first time. Finally her concentration broke - Rangiku looked over at the students that we're peering and giggling to themselves as they peeked around the small door that separated the two adults from the children. Rangiku didn't smile, or show any emotion of happiness. But yet, she forced something somewhat fake out of her soul and smiled at the kids. "Yeah.. who knows whats going to get around now." He smiled his thanks at her concern that he was alright, "I was just glad I was able to save the girl.... I had been afraid from the beginning of the battle that I wouldn't be able to keep her safe. I would have called for help from the Seiretei... but frankly there wasn't anyone I felt that I could trust at the time..." He said, though now he knew there was atleast one person he felt like he could trust. Then again he'd considered Captain Tossen a confidante that he could place a small portion of trust in. Raeko had enjoyed many conversations with the vision impaired Captain for hours on end, enjoying his refreshing views on the world around them. It had been heart-breaking to hear how he was apart of former Captain Aizen's betrayal, an integral part to say the least. It had given him a new perspective on life.
His eyes widened slightly in surprise as she stopped infront of him, mere inches away from his own body. The way she looked at him, mixed with the close proximity of their bodies, and the soft and soothing fragrance of her hair wafting towards his nostrils, made him feel suddenly overcome with the urge to take her in his arms, though he fought the urge away. He thought about her question for a few moments, knowing that a portion of the reason that she was asking was because she was judging his reaction, wondering if she could trust him as well. "I felt as if I'd lost another brother, former Captain Tossen and I were fairly good friends and he was the last person I would have expected to betray us. Aizen was a surprise to me as well, Ichimaru.... well, I wasn't as surprised..." He said softly.
Immediately he winced, suddenly remembering the rumors he'd heard that there was a closeness between Gin and Rangiku that few truely knew about. Gauging the way Rangiku was asking him, he had a feeling it might hold some truth to it, "I hope we are able to stop them.... if Aizen achieves his goals it won't be a good scenario for any of us. If I am presented with an opportunity, I won't hesitate to try and kill them..." He said, with a soft edge to his voice, letting the fact slip that he would feel guilty for killing them. They were each comrades at one point in time, even though they had become twisted and jaded, it felt the same to him as killing a brother.
He heard her next statement, eager to change the subject as the previous one seemed to be causing Rangiku a bit of inner-turmoil. It was obvious that the events of the betrayal were possibly part of the issues that were bothering her. "I don't really care what they say.... I feel it is an honor to enjoy this time with you..." He said, a warm smile coming across his lips. He felt so... comfortable, the word kept popping up again and again when he thought about her. She just made him feel relaxed, like nothing could really bother him, it was unlike anything he'd ever experienced before, and he truely enjoyed it.
