Raeko leaped forward and whipped his zanpakuto around his form in tight, lightning fast arcs, the blue electricity of his shikai leaving swirling aftertrails in the wake of his blade, spinning and distorting the air around his form to weave into a beautiful tapestry of art in motion. He leaped forward once more, this time rotating his body forwards in mid-air and placing his free hand out infront of him to launch himself into a front hand-spring, sending his athletic form rocketing in the air as he flipped forward, the zanpakuto spinning around his frame in such fast motions that it would seem to be nothing more than a moving blur to anyone who may have been watching. He landed into a tight and low spin with his blade, and then sent his body into a backflip, using the same hand to propel him backwards onto his feet and he landed with another horizontal slash at the air around him.
Sweat began to collect and bead up on his exposed upper body, choosing to lose the hooded shirt and sleeveless upper-half of his Soul Reaper uniform, his toned and muscular body being a living testament to the trials and tribulations he'd been forced to endure throughout his life as countless scars and battle-wounds littered his otherwise flawless body in random fashion. His black hair was plastered around his face with perspiration, but his eyes held a narrow look of determination to him. Spiritual Pressure flowed largely around his form, nowhere near his full strength, but enough to keep his body energized while he trained, as he'd been going at it for nearly a full day now without a break. Raeko trained constantly, and more often than not he would train for hours without pause, constantly pushing himself to become an even stronger warrior.
Raeko had received a message that he was wanted in the Seiretei. The Captain Commander had wished to speak with him personally, which really had been nothing more than a crash-course lesson in being a Captain of one of the 13 Court Guard Squads. Raeko already knew the majority of the information, and the Captain Commander knew this as well, but he also mentioned that Raeko should visit the Seiretei more often, visit the members of his squad more often, or they would begin to lose faith in him as their leader. Raeko had agreed with the sentiment, but also reminded him that he'd only accepted the job on the conditions that he could remain in the World of the Living. He freely offered for any of his subordinates to join him, and also made it quite clear that he would always be there to listen if any of them needed to send him a message.
Just something about the Seiretei though.... he didn't feel comfortable here any longer. He felt like an outsider in a private club that shunned those who weren't apart of their clique. Either way he was stuck here for the next few days, the Captain Commander had also explained that they were graduating a few new students from the Soul Academy, and explained that a few of them were highly promising and he might want to scout them out, consider placing a few of them in his squad. Raeko knew what was really going on, the Captain Commander was trying to see if he could handle the responsibility of being a Captain, personally Raeko wouldn't lose any sleep over having his title revoked. He launched into another set of intricate movements, pushing those thoughts from his mind as he set back to the task of training.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Finding himself in the training barracks, many squad members that generally preferred to work here were surprised to see Captain Kuchiki there. Whenever Byakuya needed to train he would resort to his secluded and comfortably wide home in the Kuchiki manor. But unbeknownst to those training he was there searching for Renji, he had known since the time the subtitute shinigami went to soul society to save Rukia that Renji's ongoing goal was to one day overcome him. The first place that he thought next to the 6th division barracks was the training barracks. He normally met him once every week to update each other and to proceed with 6th division squad duties. This time he wasn't in his office as he regularly was, it obligated Byakuya to go beyond the aspects of plain Captain duty to see where his lieutenant was.
Lurking in the training center, hearing the mutter of his presence being spilled all over the place he put those words aside as he calmly and slowly made his way through the center. It wasn't long before he spotted the newest captain for the 5th Division in the Gotei 13, Raeko Ichinose, right off the bat he could notice the angst he had in being in soul society. He never did look satisfied with the new position in the ranks, it was a shame Byakuya thought. He had learned through his grandfather, Ginrei, that those that come on top they learn to accept their strengths and their weaknesses they fear their own skill for the ultimate purpose of mastery and understanding. By the looks of Raeko's training, he might have had the determination, the spirit, but he had no heart. It never came easy, he knew out of personal experience and he only wondered if he would show those kind of qualities soon before his squad members lost respect to the man.
He didn't think in asking him whether he had seen his lieutenant, there was no point. It wasn't his responsibility to know and much less to care, but as a Captain he felt he needed to see what this new Captain's intentions were. Soul Society had to go through hell once before with three rogue Captains in the end, chance of that happening again were frighteningly inconclusive. So he made his way over to the Captain, being as subtle as possible. "I understand your the Captain of the 5th Division, and as such you must be aware that all Captain's have acknowledgement of other squad Captain's...and lieutenants. So, have you seen Renji here?", sweet, short and to the point. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Raeko could tell Byakuya was approaching him long before he'd even come close to Raeko's vicinity. The Captain wasn't hiding his Spiritual Pressure and it was very easy to pick out amongst the plethora of other Pressures in the entirety of the Seiretei. Raeko stopped his movements as Captain Kuchiki approached, reaching around to slide his zanpakuto into the sheathe strapped across his back diagonally, the soft sound of metal upon metal ringing out into the otherwise quietness as he put his weapon away. Raeko turned to face him, reaching up to brush a few strands of hair out of his face as he watched Captain Kuchiki approach.
Typically anyone else among the members of the Soul Reapers, even a few of the Captains, would be intimidated by the approach of one of the most famous and possibly the strongest, of the Soul Reapers ranks. Captain Kuchiki was known and revered for his strength, earning himself a near-legendary status amongst the lower rankings of Shinigami. Raeko respected the man, that much was certain, and he did have great admiration for his power, but Raeko was never someone to be intimidated by anyone, even if he was severely outmatched, apprehension was something that was rarely felt by the newly appointed Captain of the 5th Division.
Raeko heard the man's words and listened to his tone, his agile mind catching every change in pitch, tune, and mood, as more often than not those things spoke more of a person's true meaning then the actual words behind the statement. Raeko shook his head, reaching up to scratch the back of his own neck as he looked outwards across the rooftops of the Seiretei. Raeko knew of Renji Abarai, he'd met him a few times before and personally Raeko thought he was an alright guy, albeit a bit reckless and impulsive, but then Raeko was too. "I can't say that I've seen him, Captain Kuchiki. He's most likely in the same place as Lieutenant Hinamori, I've been searching for her all morning and haven't been able to locate her." He said with a half smile as he lowered his own arm.
While Raeko respected Byakuya greatly, he still felt a bit uneasy around the man, simply for the fact that he was such a quiet and unreadable person that Raeko could never tell what he was thinking. When he'd first heard the news about Captain Aizen, his predecessor, and the other Captains defecting and joining him, Raeko found himself wondering if Captain Kuchiki had been apart of their numbers, but in the time since then Raeko had begun to realize the depth of Captain Kuchiki's commitment to the Shinigami and his trust in the man had grown. Even if his ways may be slightly different from his own, Raeko still held faith in the fact that Captain Kuchiki was a good man.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Byakuya didn't even nod at Ichinose's response, he eyes locked on his posture, his way of speaking, he would argue he was doing the same as well. "Doesn't surprise me, I've noted his absence has indeed been due to attend lieutenant Hinamori. " It was true, Hinamori was definitely still striken and as such not in shinigami awareness but the unfortunate fact was that what was done had been accomplished and there wasn't anything she or anyone could do to turn back time. Byakuya didn't mind Renji keeping her company as long as it didn't interfere with shinigami duty first and foremost. He's a strong believer in keeping the peace in soul society, so much that anyone witness to Rukia's close execution would testify to the ordeal and his manner.
"I take it you aren't worried... you seem unnerved in her lack of resolution, and duty as lieutenant. Perhaps too confident". Although not intentionally, well maybe sometimes, Byakuya can and will come across as indifferent, apathetic. Why?....perhaps not an easy answer but perhaps having to carry such a noble name and history might have something to do with it. Looking foolish just isn't plausible in this man's outlook. So perhaps his words might have come across a bit rough, insensitive, again with no hard intentions but what can you say to a man whom no one can even get a clue from on the emotional side.
On a side note he made sure to talk to Renji when time permitted to clear matters between Shinigami duty and recreational time. Even though Byakuya wasn't the emotional type he had his soft spots for certain people, those witness to his love for Hisana before her passing were well aware. Perhaps other Captain's could also voice from personal experience knowing Byakuya since his youth.
As he spoke with the Captain a few thoughts ran by his mind about how he was put into the position in the first place, how he accepted under interesting conditions in Byakuya's opinion. Why would someone take up a Captain position if they preferred to be in the world of the living rather than in soul society? It just didn't make sense to him, perhaps getting an answer from him right off the bat wouldn't be easy and he didn't intend to overwhelm him either. He had paused between his comments making sure to give the man his reasoning, it was the only way to observe his manner even more, "And I realize you have special conditions. So I don't suppose I'll be seeing you in our regular Captain meetings. A shame don't you think...". Can awkwardness be any more subtle? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

He listened to Byakuya's first response, noticing a slight hint of condescension in his voice, whether it was intentional or not he wasn't sure, but it was an underlying tone that wasn't too hard to pick up on. He imagined it was due to the noble upbringing that he'd heard about, being the leader of one of the four noble families undoubtedly required some protocol to maintain the status quo that the noble families had kept for such a long period of time. Raeko had noticed as well that Lieutenants Abarai and Hinamori did seem to spend a large amount of free time together, at first he imagined it to be nothing more than two people with feelings of attraction towards one another, but then he learned of their close friendship through Soul Academy and knew it was probably nothing more than that, however he had been proving wrong before many times when it came to matters of relationships.
His next question, statement really, brought nothing more than a simple shake of Raeko's head, not wanting to dignify the thinly veiled insult with any other outward sign of recognition. "Lieutenant Hinamori is capable of taking care of herself and her business. She performs her duties as a Lieutenant well and is always present when I need her.... I see no need to keep a constant watch over her every movement." He said simply, knowing full well that Byakuya was critiquing Raeko's abilities as a Captain already. Raeko was slightly annoyed but brushed it off quite easily, the truth was Raeko had only accepted the position as Captain because of the help it would allow him to bring others, nothing more. If it was decided that he should no longer be needed as Captain of the 5th Division, he wouldn't lose any sleep over it. "I imagine the same could be said about you as well Captain Kuchiki? If I do remember correctly.... I recall hearing that Lieutenant Abarai defied direct orders from yourself and even stood against you prior to the failed execution of your sister..."
His tone was monotonous and cold, lacking any interest or emotion. He wasn't going to make it sound like an obvious insult and anger Captain Kuchiki, that would be tactless and would provoke an unneccesary arguement, he was simply reminding the Captain that when you pointed a finger at someone, you always had three others pointing back at yourself. He heard the next statement, which happened to bring a small smirk to his lips. My my.... Byakuya was many things... an incredibly powerful shinigami, an accomplished Captain, but it seemed his finesse in conversation was a bit...lacking. It was obvious what the Captain was getting at, he wanted to know more about the conditions Raeko had placed upon his acceptance of the promotion.
"If you recall I left the Seiretei many decades ago.... I only recently rejoined after much persuasion, and even more persuasion was necessary for me to take the role as Captain of the 5th Division. Unlike others.... I prefer to be out in the World of the Living doing my part, doing what our job is supposed to be.... I couldn't stand living here at the Seiretei, never venturing out into the World of the Living, just sitting by idly while more and more spirits are devoured by Hollows..." He said, his tone flat throughout the small speech, though with a small hint of the fire that was burning in his stomach. Normally he would not have explained even a portion of this to anyone, but Captain Kuchiki, as much as Raeko was already beginning to dislike him, held Raeko's upmost respect and deserved an honest answer. Even though they were at the same level, Raeko still considered Byakuya his superior.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "well well, seems his true colors are coming out", he thought and was even close to smirking. What a smile?! How unimaginable, nope he resisted, keeping his cool temper a particular quality he wouldn't admit was one of the few weaknesses troubling him since his youth. "His disobedience was justified and rightfully corrected. I spare no one whose intentions are anything but peace for soul society. " and indeed in his past he made determined decisions and actions to correct those that either went against the law or simply annihilated those that disturbed or threatened the peace. Renji had just been put in his place, and he had done good in keeping to his place.
Much of his manner, Byakuya noticed, was very similar in attribute to Renji's personality. Cold, but sincere and even open, much more carefree and spontaneous, definitely much more determined and relenting. Something that even though might not have appeared deserving of respect at first was in Kuchiki's opinion something to be admired and highlighted. "If sitting idly behind a desk is what you define a Captain's position in the Gotei 13 then you musn't have understood the terms for this kind of position. I surely think someone who has been in Soul Society for a fair amount of time absent or not would have some clear notion of a Captain's duties. And sitting behind a desk is not even close to one of them. " He wasn't even close to calling quits, his justifications were right on spot, at least where they counted, turning the objective manner personal was just a way to run away.
"I hardly recall anyone being asked into this rank, it's just not done. If you're a Captain it must mean you wanted and qualified for it, anything else and this position would make so sense for those with it. You should really reconsider what your purpose here is for..." objective all the way. It was the only way to get across his point, even if he was asked to be a Captain that was never a good way to enter into the ranks, these jobs were not gifts, they were hard earned qualifications of one's skill, mastery and overall esteem to their purpose in soul society as shinigami. Perhaps those qualities Byakuya wanted to see in Ichinose weren't going to appear soon, it was a shame, but at the same time he didn't lose hope. He was just a new Captain anyway, he had time to prove and show his so called motivation to working lively with those in the real world, even if he didn't agree likewise. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Raeko had to concede that Byakuya did indeed make several valid points, that much he couldn't argue with, but it also seemed that Byakuya didn't have the slightest bit of insight as to what went on in Raeko's own mind or his own 'qualifications'. "I know of the duties belonging to a Captain. You misunderstood the meaning of my words.... I am not trying to imply that they are pointless desk work, but let me ask you this Captain Kuchiki..... how many Hollows have you purified in the last couple of years...?" He said, knowing that Captain Kuchiki rarely left the Seiretei to venture into the World of the Living. He was not trying to say that a typical Captain's duties were pointless, far from it, but he himself was a man of action, and even though he was in a position of ranking now, he still preferred to go out there and do the dirty work himself, rather than send a handful of subordinates to do it for him.
Raeko's right eyebrow arched at Captain Kuchiki's next statement. It was true, Raeko had never heard of someone being asked to become a Captain, normally it was something that a person fought long and hard to achieve and was awarded, but things had turned out differently for Raeko. "I was approached and offered the position as Captain of the 5th Division shortly after my return to the Seiretei. Maybe it was because I strived to achieve rank when I was a part of the Stealth Force many years ago... I do not know, but that is how it played out." He said simply, beginning to get slightly annoyed by Byakuya's prodding and condescension. Raeko had become very well-known throughout the Stealth Force during his service there, nearly to legendary proportions. Raeko was to the Stealth Force as Captain Kuchiki was to the Gotei 13, he was more than qualified for a position as Captain.
"My purpose is simple... to continue to do as we shinigami always have.... purify Hollows and send wandering souls to the Soul Society. My purpose is nothing more than to protect those who are unable to protect themselves.... something that isn't done very often these days it seems..." He said, his eyes dropping slightly as his mind wandered off to thoughts of that fateful night, his last mission as a member of the Stealth Force, when he'd been ordered to kill the former Soul Reaper who'd done nothing more than choose to leave the Seiretei to be with the woman he loved. Raeko had murdered him in cold blood, oblivious to the fact that the man was completely innocent of any true crime until the deed had been accomplished. If Captain Kuchiki expected him to pledge undying service and loyalty to an organization that condoned acts such as that, then he was going to be highly dissappointed.
"I don't expect you to understand my reasoning or my motives.... I don't even expect you to trust them with the recent events involving Aizen, Ichimaru, and Tossen. However I don't see the need to explain my every thought and action to you, Captain Kuchiki." He said, his voice holding a firmer tone now as his eyes rose to meet Byakuya's own. It was a simple warning, one that still stayed well within the guidelines of respect, but it also displayed that Raeko was now the same rank as Captain Kuchiki and expected to be treated as such, not as a Lieutenant during a review session.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - That slight flicker of hope Byakuya had seemed to have brightened when he heard his last reckoning comment. He did note tht his achievements and recognitions in the Stealth Force were something to be admired and praised. He did hold respect for the man, even if it was unbelievably hidden in the pit of his stomach. He judged by the way he loocked at him that he seemed annoyed, it only remembered him of how temperamental he was as well, shifting out of place at the instance of a cumbersome conversation.
Recalling one of his previous comments he thought about what he meant by helping those who are defenseless. A few of those thoughts were over his adoptive sister Rukia, it had been some time now since that incident occurred but in his mind it was as fresh as though it would have happened the day before. With no intention to bring up lose ends into the conversation he brushed the guilt driven scenes out of his mind. He hadn't or needed to have killed hollows in order to realize the importance of his role as Captain with his squad. Wit those he personally trained in order to do what in the back of Byakuya's mind would have been an incredible task, to physically go and kill the hollows. His role-modelish expectations were too high to be just some gut wrentching shinigami in the real world. Further dwelling on his points and reasoning his comments as though he wanted to figure him out. Being shut away in that moment wasn't going to stop him from digging further later on, Aizen and the other had indeed shown the same kind of moral in spirit and in speech, so taking Ichinose's words were something to doubt unfortunately.
"Well you seem to have misunderstood me as well, you see I came to look for Renji... if you bothered just a bit more to care for lieutenant Hinamori she wouldn't need to be in the circumstances she's in now. I don't believe you can get any more defenseless than that.". He spoke much about defending the innocent, working and striving like a hero, when a real hero didn't necessarily need to be kicking ass in the battlefield. He didn't seem to know Hinamori at least as well as Byakuya had grown to notice from the young shinigami that her world was completely torn. When she meant she was fine, she only meant a cry for help. If he preferred to idly sit behind this one, he would surely be in for a rude awakening. "Perhaps it might not be any concern of mine...now. But I sure hope it will never be." subtlety wasn't significant at this point anymore, intentions aside Ichinose knew very well that Byakiuya was much more concerned over soul society's well-being than the adverse effects to those inside of it. And even if Ichinose held the world record holder for best shinigami citizen in history, words were nothing more than that. He was in a whole new battleground whether he'd believe it or not, and he might have been the only Captain with enough guts to challenge him into the new ranks. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Raeko looked towards Byakuya once more, an iron look in his eyes, the rest of his face reading nothing as he stared at the man for a long moment, thoughts spinning inside of his own head. He knew Captain Kuchiki meant well, even if the way he carried about relaying his message was a bit.... harsh to say the least. "....what am I supposed to do..?" He asked simply, the helplessness he felt shining through in his voice for a few moments. "I've never spoken to Lieutenant Hinamori prior to becoming Captain of Division 5... and since then we've only spoken a few times. What do you say to someone who just had the one they loved betray the entire Seiretei...?" He asked simply, reaching up to scratch the back of his neck once more.
"I've tried to speak with her since... and everytime she just tells me she's alright, but I can tell that she isn't..... I've never been good at speaking with people, and this is just another situation that I have no idea what to do with. Lieutenant Abarai has known her since they were in the Soul Academy together, he knows her possibly better than anyone else here.... if anyone could get through to her at the moment... he could." He said, the dissappointment with the fact that he couldn't even speak to his own lieutenant about her own problems was clouding his mind. He wanted to develop the same kind of relationship that other Captains had with their Lieutenants, but he had just assumed the post of Captain only a short time ago, and those kind of relationships took time.
".... but don't for a second insinuate that it's because I simply don't care." He said, a spike of anger dripping from his voice as he looked towards Byakuya with slightly narrowed eyes. "I care more than you could possibly know..." He said in a softer voice this time, his eyes dropping to the ground once more. He shifted the weight from one foot to the other as he looked back towards Byakuya once again, "....is there anything else you'd wish to prod into while we're at it, Captain Kuchiki?" He asked, though his tone was more humorous than anything else. The tone of his voice would make it apparent to Byakuya that he wasn't particularly angry with him, he understood the reasoning, but he didn't appreciated being bombarded like he was.
(Sorry the post sucks, I'm totally hungover and can't focus properly lol.)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Ichinose's guilty demeanor made Byakuya slightly sigh. He wasn't one to guide or advice people what to do, he always gave vague implications of what he expected from people. He was very much with the law and obliged to the ways of soul society but it never stopped him from acknowleding others what it meant to do the right thing. He always commented to other Captains and those in higher ranks that being people with role-modeling expectations it meant they had a responsibility to show the rest how things should be done. Ichinose was definitely no lower rank anymore, he was a top dog and he needed to show that if he wanted to gain the respect of his squad as well. "Perhaps it would be best to take notice of how those matters get handled by your own peers", he meant Renji.
Yes, Renji and Hinamori were close friends and they knew each other better than most, but that shouldn't stop other's from helping in their own way as well. Hinamori was plainly senstive to many issues and Byakuya realized that whether Ichinose knew her just like Renji did was no concern to the matter. She needed to know and accept that the world didn't end the second Aizen left their side. She needed to find ultimate resolution and getting to know a new face, someone obviously not in touch with the way things got done as of late would be a good reliever. But telling all of that to Ichinose was just too easy, no Byakuya always made his suggestions as vague and hard to understand just like his character. No one would ever understand. "Vulnerability and guilt don't glow well on you, specially as a Captain...and for your information I don't prod" he finished. Looking away for a moment as he said his last few words, was he actually being nice?!. No it was just one of those odd moments Captain Kuchiki ever had with comrades, part of the reason no one could ever understand him. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ******************************************* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (OOC: No worries, take a breather if you need to, no rush ^_^)

Rukia was feeling a bit more somber than most days only because of what his brother mentioned to him not too long ago. She had been fully recovered and had decided to stay in soul society for the simple pleasure of being back home. But here was his nii-sama, suggesting and imploring her to return to the real world, behind his menial excuses to look after the subtitute shinigami, she knew there was more meaning behind just babysitting Kurosaki. She thought it was unfair, but was she to go against her brother's wishes, hell she would even go every afternoon to his barracks to report her newest updates as part of the Gotei 13. She had been mulling over the decision for a while now and thought it was time to talk to her brother about her soon to be departure. She didn't manage to locate him in his usual location at the squad 6 barracks and in speaking with a few of the members she found out he was looking for Renji. First place other than squad 6 was the training center.
As she arrived she already felt the air filled with a hint of angst and tension noticing that Byakuya was indeed there but what looked like a confrontation witht he new Captain of the 5th Division. She was rather indifferent to the new Captain, other than hopeful that he wouldn't be like the previous Captain in any way. "Nii-sama... Captain Ichinose... pardon my intrusion, perhaps this isn't the best time to talk about this Nii-sama but I've already decided to make my plans to the real world. I'm to depart by morning, I knew you wanted to know of my answer as soon as possible...".
Noted, Byakuya had put down his rather indifferent expression and openned his eyes at the sound of Rukia's comment. " I see... " he had planned certain items for her in the process, very assured she would have agreed with his suggestion, and so was getting ready to leave.
"and I do believe I've spotted both Hinamori and Renji on the way in case you might have wanted to know" she finished hoping it would be of some use to both Captains.

He said nothing to Byakuya, regarding his last comment, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked towards the man, but finally dropping into a softer look as he turned his gaze away. He couldn't be angry at Byakuya, as harsh as he was with his words, Byakuya spoke the truth and only did so to help Raeko, not to try and belittle him. "You're right... I guess I still have alot to learn about being a Captain. Thank you..." He said simply, turning to look at Byakuya, his voice portraying the seriousness of his thanks. Raeko had a feeling that a friendship, or at the very least, a comfortable understanding between two Captains, was being established here, and Raeko enjoyed it, having felt that up until now there was nobody in the Seiretei that he could place any trust in.
He suddenly felt the Spiritual Pressure of Byakuya's sibling, Rukia Kuchiki as she appeared before them. A polite smile came to his lips as he nodded towards the woman, "Miss Kuchiki..." He said, unsure exactly as to what protocol would dictate he address her by, but deciding to be as polite as possible. He heard her state that she was planning on departing, heading towards the World of the Living soon, which actually coincided with his plans to return to the World of the Living as well, he was already beginning to feel edgy being at the Seiretei too long. He listened to her mentioning that Lieutenants Hinamori and Abarai were approaching them, a small smile of thanks coming to his lips though he said nothing in response.
He was grateful for whatever help Renji could provide in talking with Lieutenant Hinamori and helping her in his own way, Raeko vowed that he would have a personal conversation with her as soon as he was presented with an opportunity, to let her know that he was always there if she needed to speak with someone. He looked towards Rukia, and then towards Captain Kuchiki, "I will be returning to the World of the Living as well soon, I could accompany her if the two if you wish...?" He asked, not wanting to imply or anything, but figuring the company for the short journey would be nice. Not to mention he'd never been able to speak with Rukia before, and if she was anything like her brother, it would be a nice opportunity to get to know her.
